How to play
Circus Dash
Controls
| Keyboard | Space, ↑ or W jumps · a quick tap is a low hop, holding gives a higher and longer leap (the lift lasts up to about 0.3 s) · P or Esc pauses · Enter starts / plays again |

| Touch and mouse | Tap or click anywhere on the ring, or the "Jump" button under it on phones; keep your finger down to jump higher |
The acrobat runs on by herself at the speed of the act; you have one button, jump. Press just before landing and she jumps again the moment her feet touch down.
The acts
- Rings of Fire: ride a tiger through blazing rings on stands. A low ring wants a light hop, a high ring a long hold; touching a ring's frame or its stand is a miss. Jump over the fire pots on the sand. Small golden rings hold a coin
- Tightrope: cats walk towards you along the rope - jump clear of them. Black cats hop up and down: jump high or wait for them to land. Stars float above the rope; jump into them to collect them
- Giant Drums: leap from drum to drum, some higher, some lower. Dropping into a gap or running into the side of a taller drum is a miss. Blue trampolines throw you up by themselves, and balloons over the gaps are prizes
Every act has three checkpoint flags and a podium at the end: reaching it pays the act bonus and the next act begins. After the three acts the show starts again - faster, busier, with new tricks.
Modes
- Classic: three lives; after a miss you start again from the act's last checkpoint flag. Three acts in a row give a life back (up to five). Faster every round
- Endless: one life - a single miss ends the show. Faster every act
- A show lasts at most 20 minutes, then ends and counts as it stands · "End the show" ends it yourself; the score counts just the same
Scoring
- Ground: a trickle of points for every bit of new ground (running it again after a checkpoint does not count twice)
- Fire pot 50 · ring 100 (high ring 150) · small ring 200 + coin 300 · cat 100 (black cat 150) · a new drum 50 · stars and balloons 300
- Clear several things in one jump: 100 more for each beyond the first
- End of an act: 500 × the round, and another 500 × the round if the act had no miss
- Each thing scores once, even when you pass it again after a checkpoint
- The leaderboard is ranked by score; on a tie, the earlier run comes first
The leaderboard
After a run, enter a name (2-20 characters) and a country. The score joins the world table and your country's table, showing each name's best. The server replays when the jump button went down and up in every run before it counts; a run that does not replay to the same score is left out, and a run without points does not go on the board.
Tips
- Read the height of a ring before you press: low ring - tap, middle ring - half a hold, high ring - hold all the way
- The tiger is long: jump a little before a fire pot and hold a moment
- A full-hold jump always clears a black cat
- On the drums, take off from the very edge for the longest leap - and you can still jump for a moment after running off it
